Worth updating my CPU?
My custom build from 2019 is starting to feel a bit aged, but I'm not aiming to do a full new build. I have a 5080 GPU on the way to replace my 3070, and a new PSU (Corsair RM1000x) on the way, but I'm wondering if I should update my Ryzen 3600 CPU?
Can't say I do much intensive stuff on PC, but sometimes I like to try a newer game or something modded that has high requirements; otherwise, a fair bit of emulation. Is it worth an upgrade? Also, I'm not sure about CPU lifespans and if I should redo thermal paste (if so, I figure I may as well upgrade).
EDIT: it's aged as in I can't play modern releases on as high a setting as I'd like re: low FPS, lower quality textures etc. Sometimes slowdown with emulation and rare video editing. My other specs are 32gb ddr4 ram, b550 mobo, 6 fans in a Lancool II tower with a decent 1440P oled monitor.
