[TOMT] [STORY] [2000s] Looking for a story about happiness as a physical substance.
This has been driving me absolutely insane.
I'm looking for a short story or fable about happiness/kindness/love that is discovered to be a physical substance. Its really hot and golden and people start fighting over it but no one is able to actually keep any. (Either because they loose it or because people rip it apart or because its too hot) Rich people arrive with helicopters etc, so I know its not an old story. No one gets any and the substance gets dispersed across the world or just disappears. At the end, a random man finds a tiny bit of it somewhere, still warm, and carries it to safety by his chest. It gets absorbed into his heart I think? And so he's able to share it with others.
I used to spend a lot of time on VK(russian facebook) and I'm pretty sure the story could've been just posted there as an inspirational tale. I have tried searching for it in literally every way possible:(
