We are starting to interview general contractors for a gut/remodel of our kitchen. The general contractor we normally use is booked out through December 2027.

It’s a large project, and while I am comfortable talking to contractors about the work, my concern is missing something obvious, whether it’s a red flag or a “what we wish we had known in advance” style issue.

Thank you in advance.
