Hi all, my husband was diagnosed via RTC by ADHD360 in 2023. He tried concerta XL and then was moved onto quick release methylphenidate last year, as he has slow metabolism which meant the concerta wasn't kicking in until later in the day. Unfortunately the quick release caused him to have dark thoughts and he was advised to stop taking meds. At the time, adhd360 said he could go back when he was ready to potentially try a different type. He's got back in touch now to discuss non-stimulants, but they've said they can't do anything as they've fully discharged him. Our local ICB won't refer over 25s anymore under RTC, so he can't go back to the GP.
Does anyone have experience of seeking titration with a different provider privately, where you've been diagnosed elsewhere?
We don't want to pay for it via ADHD360 as they have failed him in many ways since 2023.
