Early Morning Sunrise at the Shore
I grew up near the beach along the east coast and I no longer live there. I miss my hometown all the time, and today I'm missing the early mornings going out to the beach before light has arrived to catch the sun rising over the shoreline. A little chilly no matter the time of year because of the misty fog, wind, salt spray from the ocean, and cold sand that hasn't been warmed by sunrays yet, but there was always something about it that felt so contemplative and comforting, like the rest of the world would melt away while you sat in the stillness of the moment, just you and the ocean waiting for the sun. Those were some of the happiest moments of my life (youthful, joyful memories spent with family followed by a stop at the local diner before heading home) and the darkest (times when everything felt so lost and hollow that only the vastness of the sea could swallow up the pain i was carrying and bring me ease). The ocean feels like a dear friend I've been parted from for over half a decade.
So, all that to say, I would love an atmospheric perfume that captures that feeling/experience. I would especially appreciate recommendations from anyone who has also shared those kind of memories at the shore and knows what I'm describing firsthand. Bonus points if you have a separate recommendation for a classic diner scent I could pair with it: think black coffee, toast, maybe even a light electrical note for the lights or equipment. Love this community and thanks in advance for any recommendations!
