I can't be the only one who feels like my "great" product is not selling itself. Now, I am spending money I don't have on Google ads and learning marketing on YouTube from people trying to market products.
I've been working on a small tool called FlashMyBeacon that lets groups find each other at festivals, concerts, and big events in real time. The idea came from the classic problem of losing your friends in a crowd, everyone's in different spots, the venue is packed, and coordinating over text just doesn't work.
The way it works is pretty simple: you start a session, share a plain link with your crew, and everyone shows up on a live map. Nobody needs to download an app or create an account to join. There's a free tier for small groups.
I'm based in Oslo but building it for anyone, anywhere. Still very early, no paying customers yet, just trying to figure out if this actually solves a real problem for people.
Has anyone here dealt with this at a festival or big event? Would love to hear what you think, or what would make something like this actually useful to you.
