Why is it so damn hard to just leave??
Basically I had a year long contract which ended last month. I was paying something like £35 a month and then suddenly my bill was reading £129 and I cancelled my direct debit on it because AS IF I was ever gonna pay that for an out of contract fee. They never got in touch at all to tell me my contract was ending, how was I meant to know lol.
Anyway I asked if I could join a different contract, they said I needed to pay that charge first. I’m just simply not doing that, like what a joke. So I’ve just decided I’ll go with a different provider.
Anyway, what happens now? Will anything bad happen if I just start a new contract with a different provider? I asked Virgin Media to just cancel and they wouldn’t do that either without paying that crazy fee.
Any help would be appreciated.
