How would you make an interactive DVD?
I’ve recently gotten into collecting DVDs, and I’m hoping to also begin making my own DVDs with custom menus and everything. I’m not sure how feasible it would be, but one thing I’d love to do is to create an interactive DVD where the viewer can make choices while watching. I’m specifically looking to create something in the style of the “Choose Your Fate” feature on the Final Destination 3 special edition DVD, where at certain points the movie pauses and presents a menu with different choices that causes different scenes to play.
Is there any software available nowadays that would allow you to make this kind of thing? Something open source or at least affordable would be preferred, though I’d be interested to know if any expensive or professional software would allow for this kind of feature for curiosity’s sake. Thanks!
