Hey yall,

So I booked the InterContinental Chicago through Maritz for the Chicago Marathon weekend. The rate was too good to pass up (~$400 vs $800+ direct). I know points earning is almost certainly out the window, but curious whether anyone has experience getting Diamond Elite benefits honored on a third-party housing bureau booking like this, such as room upgrades or late checkout?

Planning to call the hotel directly and ask them to note my IHG number on the reservation, but wanted to see if anyone has actually pulled this off. Also considering Ambassador if that changes anything.
