Help please!

Took my 2016 Rogue into a shop today as I’ve been having a terrible rotational noise that‘s been getting worse.
Came back and told me that my rear differential and transfer case both need to be replaced - apparently they are both “full of metal”.

cost to replace rear differential $3,400 and $2,400 for transfer case??

Slightly freaking out - I still owe 5K on the car.

Should I call around and get other quotes, or does this sound like an average price?
