I (32f) have been texting a friend (33m) from years past for the past week or so. It was initially just catching up but since has turned very flirty. I had a huge crush on him before we lost touch and told him as much a few days ago. He told me it was the same for him but he was just unsure of how to proceed at the time.

We live in different states now so I know asking him on a date would be difficult. We've already planned for me to visit in the coming month as friends but I want to ask him on some kind of long distance date. Should I ask him or should I see how the visit goes?
