I’ve recently discovered the wonderful world of homemade TCGs, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of games out there. I also can’t really find many YouTube videos along the lines of “best / most interesting homemade TCGs,” so I’d love some recommendations.
For context: I’ve played a lot of Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh! in the past. I don’t really enjoy MTG’s resource system or how slow the early game can feel, but I do like how much interaction Yu-Gi-Oh! allows.
So I’m looking for something that leans more toward fast, interactive gameplay and less toward a slow mana-style resource system.
Does anyone have any homemade TCGs they’d recommend as a good starting point?
