hi, so i love the new update but from my limited experience i find it odd how there doesn't seem to be a new pest form tied to resources the player can get from manufacturing (or from other early game resources) so I'm gonna throw out some ideas for pest forms that i think would be kinda cool.
1 the maggot: feeding a pest larva meet should turn it into a sort of pest larva hybrid thing, i think it be funny if it's special move could be latching onto enemies, stacking bleed damage or maybe even healing the player in some weird vampirism style AOE but im not sure about that last part.
2 the nest: the pest already looks like a potato so why not feed it a bunch of honey and turn it into a weird beetato (or bee queens if this turns out to be stronger then i thought). i think it be cool if the back of the pest had it's spikes replaced with holes that bees come out of, either give it a ranged needle attack like the exor soldiers/the hive cannon from half-life, or give it a passive damage aura, you know cause it's a pest full of bees and bees are swarming out of the pest to attack things
3 THE FOG: i think a pest form based around the fog stuff would be kinda nice, feed it a bunch of fog fish and you get a messed up fog pest, maybe it could emit a cloud of fog that makes stealth easier, or have it be a smoke bomb that disorients enemies and makes it easier to escape. i don't know i think a stealth friend would be cool.
lastly could there be something in the chemistry lab that lets us revert pests, that way we can change the form of our pests more easily instead of needing to collect a hoard of guys. not saying that i wouldn't mind collecting a hoard of guys but it does feel odd how there's no way to revert your companion to their base form?
