Context:
I am 26 years old I work in a bank. For the past 2 and a half years I have been paying £540 a month towards a CLA. However the CLA and its finance is on my sisters name as at the time I did not have enough credit history to apply for it myself. So even though it was on her name, I was paying for it as she was eventually going to give it to me.
However, about 2 months ago, I crashed the car into a parked car and completely damaged the front right bumper, headlight, tyre. The total cost of those repairs came up to about £10k as I did not go through insurance as the PCP of the CLA comes to end in September. Since then, my sister has said she’s not going to give it back to me and I have stopped paying her the £540.
Yes I crashed it, I’m embarrassed. Ashamed. But it was a mistake and I can’t undo it. And it feels very weird without a car. I wanted some advice:
do I take out a personal loan through the bank I work at which will give me a slightly lower interest rate than usual since I’m staff (+my credit score is now 942) and buy another car? If so I was thinking around 25-30k but I don’t know which cars maybe Audi A5?
Or any other alternatives/opinions, I am open to listening. I appreciate it nevertheless
