Slim Guys Can Absolutely Conceal Carry a Glock 19

So I recently joined the Glock gang and picked up a Glock 19. Before buying it, I was honestly pretty nervous about whether I’d actually be able to conceal carry it comfortably. I’m 6 feet tall, around 175 pounds, and pretty slim, so I kept hearing people say the Glock 19 is “too big” to conceal unless you’re a bigger guy.

For context, I came from carrying a Smith & Wesson Shield, which is obviously way slimmer and lighter. I expected the Glock 19 to feel huge on me and print like crazy, but that honestly hasn’t been my experience at all.

I’m running a Mission Tactical minimalist holster, and I mostly wear sweatpants or shorts with just the drawstring tightened — no belt at all. Even with that setup, the Glock 19 has been way easier to conceal than I expected.

The biggest thing I noticed was the slide length feeling a little longer when sitting or moving certain ways, but the grip/frame itself really didn’t feel much harder to conceal for me personally.

What surprised me most is how quickly I adjusted to it. After a couple days, it just felt normal. The extra capacity, better shootability, and overall confidence I get from the Glock 19 made the slight size increase totally worth it.

So if you’re a slimmer guy like me and you’ve been debating getting a “bigger” concealed carry gun, don’t automatically count the Glock 19 out. You might be surprised how easily you can hide it, even in regular clothes and without needing some crazy setup.
