It’s here!

Gadies and Lentlemen, behold.

Ordered on 05JUL, arrived today 19AUG.

I’m loving this thing so far. Curious about swapping triggers and thumbsticks to grey. Anyone here tried it yet other than the digital mockups?

Anyone know how to add the original GBA logo bezel to RetroArch on the RG Rotate? Losing my mind 😅

Can anyone explain how to get the original GBA logo bezel working in RetroArch on the RG Rotate?

I’ve already tried once by creating a bezel folder in my RetroArch directory and dropping the overlay files into it, but when I browse to that folder from Overlay Preset, it’s completely blank.

I’m clearly missing a step or two. Is my folder path wrong, or do the files need to go somewhere else?

I’ve attached a reference photo of what I’m trying to achieve. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏼

I Bought Both RG Rotate Cases So You Don’t Have To

Finally had a chance to compare the two RG Rotate TPU cases that are currently floating around.

1. Zhixteu White TPU Case (Amazon) – $16.69

At the time I ordered it, this was the only RG Rotate case I could find.

Pros:

Has cutouts for the power and launcher buttons, which is actually a nice feature since the RG Rotate’s power button is pretty easy to press accidentally in a pocket or bag. If you’re into the slimmest design possible, and are only worried about preventing scratches, this is the one to get!

Cons:

Way too expensive for what you get.
Generally thin and floppy.
Has a weird 3D-printed style texture that I’m not a fan of.
Includes double-sided tape because the bottom half will slide off without it.

Rating: 2/5

2. Clear TPU Case (AliExpress) – £5.26

This one honestly surprised me.
It’s definitely a little bulkier, but it feels like an actual protective case. I won’t be drop-testing it, but if the Rotate slipped out of my hands I’d have about 10x more confidence in this one protecting it.

The clear TPU looks great (hopefully it doesn’t yellow over time), and I like that you can still see any stickers you put on the device.

I was worried it’d be slippery because it’s smooth, but there are small raised bumps on the lower corners that give your fingers just enough grip. The fit is excellent too, no tape required. It snaps on securely, and the top half tucks neatly into the groove between the screen and body without affecting the hinge or opening mechanism at all. Really clean design.

The only real downside is there aren’t dedicated cutouts for the power, volume, or frontend buttons. Surprisingly, I actually see this as more of a benefit. The TPU adds enough resistance that accidental power presses should be much less likely, which is one of the Rotate’s biggest annoyances.

My only design tweak would be to reduce the amount of TPU covering the front bezel. It doesn’t block the screen at all, but I think leaving more of the bezel exposed would make the handheld look a little cleaner.

Rating: 4.5/5

For roughly a third of the price, the AliExpress case is an easy recommendation. Better fit, better protection, no tape, and overall much higher quality. I’ll post photos below so everyone can compare.

KONKR FIT: I Canceled My Order

TL;DR: I canceled my KONKR FIT HX470 order. The device still looks great on paper, but AYANEO’s communication around shipping has been too unclear for me to keep backing the order. Their website still listed late-April shipping well into May, while support privately told me shipping had slipped into May with no clear date. Delays happen, but outdated product info, vague support responses, and no public update made me lose confidence in buying directly from AYANEO.

I wanted to share my experience with the KONKR FIT order process as a general warning for anyone considering buying directly from AYANEO.

I recently decided to cancel my KONKR FIT HX470 order after several weeks of unclear communication, missed expectations, and confusing support responses.

The delay itself was not the main issue. Delays happen, especially with smaller handheld manufacturers. The bigger problem was the lack of clear communication around the delay.

When I ordered, AYANEO’s website stated that KONKR FIT units would start shipping in late April. We are now in the third week of May, and as of my last check, the product page still says “Shipping starts end of April.”

At the same time, AYANEO support told me directly over email that shipping had been delayed into May due to production capacity. Later, they told me the exact shipping date was still unclear, that production was ongoing, and that my April order likely would not be included in the first batch.

I asked multiple times whether the mid-May estimate applied to all KONKR FIT orders, only my order, or orders placed during a specific window. I also asked whether AYANEO planned to issue a broader public update to customers. Those questions were either not answered clearly or not answered at all.

At one point, I asked again for clarification on the shipping timeline, and the response I received was about the shipping fee not changing. I never asked about shipping fees.

That was the point where I felt like I couldn’t keep giving them the benefit of the doubt.

It’s especially frustrating because AYANEO really does make interesting products. The KONKR FIT still looks amazing on paper, and I was genuinely excited for it.

But at this point, it feels like AYANEO’s customer base is split into two groups: people who don’t fully know what they’re signing up for, and people who love the devices enough to put up with the company’s poor communication because they know they’ll probably get the device eventually.

I thought I could be in that second group this time. I knew AYANEO’s reputation going in, and I was willing to be patient because the KONKR FIT looked like such a perfect device for me. But after this experience, I just can’t get behind backing them directly as a customer.

I also don’t feel comfortable recommending the ordering experience to my YouTube audience when the company still has outdated shipping information live on the product page and has not provided clear public communication to customers.

AYANEO has publicly talked about improving their practices, but from my experience here, I haven’t seen that improvement reflected in the actual customer experience. So far, it feels like all talk and no follow-through.

For anyone considering ordering, I’m not saying don’t buy the device. It may end up being excellent. But I would strongly recommend knowing what kind of customer experience you may be signing up for, especially if you care about accurate shipping timelines, clear support responses, or public updates when delays happen.

For now, I’ve requested a cancellation and refund. I may still buy one later if units start showing up secondhand or on eBay, but I don’t feel comfortable continuing to deal with AYANEO directly as a brand right now.

***UPDATE 04/30/2026***

AYANEO responded to my email. According to their support team, they received a new internal update stating that due to insufficient production capacity, the KONKR Fit is now expected to ship in mid-May.

Their exact message:

“I received the latest notification today because of insufficient production capacity. The KONKR FIT machine is expected to be shipped in mid-May. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.”

So based on this response, it sounds like the original “Late April” shipping window has slipped to mid-May, at least for my order. I’ll continue updating this thread if I receive any more info.

Original post:

Starting this thread to track AYANEO KONKR Fit orders for both the HX370 and HX470 models.

I’m really excited for this device. The HX470 is pretty much exactly what I’ve been wanting in a handheld. That said, AYANEO hasn’t always had the best track record with communication, shipping updates, or customer support, so I figured it would be helpful to have one place where people can compare order updates.

I ordered the KONKR Fit HX470 in Luminous Silver on April 23, 2026. My total was $1,325 after tax and shipping with a $20 coupon.

AYANEO’s site says orders will “begin shipping in late April.” We’re in that window now, but I haven’t seen any confirmed customer shipping notifications or deliveries yet. The only one I’ve seen pop up so far is this YouTube Short:

Could be a review/sponsored unit, could be something else. I don’t know either way, just mentioning it since it’s the only one I’ve seen.

If you ordered one, drop your model, color, order date, region, current status, and whether you’ve received a shipping notification or any communication from AYANEO.

Hopefully this helps everyone keep track of what’s actually going on. Not trying to turn this into a hate thread, I’m genuinely hyped for the device. Just want to keep things organized since AYANEO updates can be hit or miss.
