Hi, I just called the police on my boyfriend of fours years. He is currently in jail. I feel so bad and feel like I overreacted because there’s been times it’s been “worse”. I tried leaving this relationship before but he would constantly harrass and stalk me up to the point of coming to my job. I decided that maybe going back to him the we would be able to fix and ends things more at peace. But I also let him and myself know if he ever put his hands on me again I would report it. Yesterday he put his hands on me again and I called the police and they took him away. I just feel so guilty changing his life but also am aware that he could’ve physically damaged myself forever if he continued hitting my head. What should I do next?
