THE HILLS HAVE EYES: THE MISSING BADGES (PART 2)
Genre: Survival Horror / Slasher / Psychological Thriller
Logline: Following the mysterious disappearance of the Carter family from the first film, an experienced Sheriff and his two rookie deputies—one fatally cowardly, the other exceptionally brave—are deployed to the desert wasteland. Armed with severely limited ammunition, they must survive both the mutant cannibals and a devastating internal betrayal.
SYNOPSIS
Weeks after the unsettling disappearance of the Carter family, a veteran Sheriff responsible for the adjacent jurisdiction heads into the isolated desert terrain alongside two rookie deputies: a fiercely brave, resolute female officer, and a spineless, terrified male officer. Their only resources are a standard-issue cruiser, a single shotgun, a revolver, and their service pistols.
Following a trail of gruesome remains, they push deep into the territory, eventually reaching the claustrophobic caves that serve as the mutants' primary stronghold. However, a brutal ambush by the mutants splits the team apart, leaving the Sheriff isolated and forcing the two rookies to fight for survival together. The female deputy desperately tries to keep her panicked partner grounded and focused. But when they stumble upon the Sheriff's brutally dismembered corpse in the depths of the cave, all sense of authority and safety shatters. Their sole remaining plan is to escape the cavern, reach their vehicle, and call for backup via the radio.
When they are finally cornered in a climactic, face-to-face confrontation with the mutants, the cowardly rookie commits the ultimate betrayal. To save his own skin, he throws the female deputy directly into the path of the monsters. As she is brutally slaughtered, the male rookie is left completely trapped and alone in the dark. Hearing the heavy footsteps of the approaching mutants, consumed by absolute despair and agonizing guilt, he points his own weapon at his head and pulls the trigger. The film ends with nothing left but darkness and the echoes of mutant shrieks across the desert.
THE HILLS HAVE EYES: TOTAL ERADICATION (PART 3)
Genre: Military Horror / Action Survival / Slasher
Logline: After both a civilian family and the local police force vanish into the desert void, the government deploys an elite military squad to eliminate the threat. However, the operation rapidly devolves into a savage, hand-to-hand war of attrition between the last surviving heavy-built Commander and the mutants' most formidable "boss."
SYNOPSIS
With both a civilian family and local law enforcement vanishing without a trace in the exact same desert grid, the government escalates the situation to a national security threat. An elite, heavily armed, and fully equipped military squad is deployed to the zone. The mission is absolute: purge the area and locate the missing personnel. Yet, despite their cutting-edge military tech and heavy firepower, the soldiers are systematically outmaneuvered by the mutants' brutal guerrilla tactics, as the monsters utilize the terrain and caverns like apex predators.
One by one, the squad members are hunted down until only the team’s strongest, imposing, and heavily built Commander is left standing. Deep within the heart of the cave system, the Commander finds himself face-to-face with the alpha leader—the largest, most ruthless mutant of the tribe. With all firearms empty or discarded, the climax erupts into an epic, bloody, hand-to-hand battle where raw muscle mass collides with feral instinct. Sustaining severe injuries, the Commander ultimately uses his tactical combat experience to overpower and execute the mutant leader. He then rigs the caverns with explosives, blowing the entire colony to kingdom come.
Covered in blood, exhausted, and gasping for air, the Commander crawls out of the smoking ruins toward the military vehicle. He reaches for the radio, preparing to broadcast the "mission accomplished" dispatch to headquarters. At that exact moment, the camera reveals absolutely nothing in the frame. Suddenly, an unseen mutant snatches him by the ankles. With terrifying speed, the Commander is violently dragged across the dirt, pulled completely out of the frame and into the pitch-black desert night. The radio drops to the ground, static noise blares, and the film cuts sharply to black.
