I bought the new Covert Cardigan last night. No regrets. It’s not as bulky as I thought and can use as a mid-layer which is why I got it. It’s so soft and feels so good. I can use it as a stand alone once the temperature goes into the 60’s. Will it pill? Arc’teryx is selling it as “anti abrasion” so time will tell.
I bought a Kyanite hoody (used) off eBay. Fell in love with it but it was too form fitting. It was like a base layer on me. I re-sold it and bought a size up on REI. The new size fit me like a dress! I guess there is no happy medium. Anyone experienced this? What is a good alternative in the $200 price point?
The sale has started.
The R1 material (to me) is a step down from the waffle fabric on the left, which actually breathes. It feels so much better. I thought the new one was a step up but it wasn’t. I am really sad about this. I am new to Patagonia and discovering older things.
The R1 is soft indeed but its almost like they made it so wind DOESN’T pass through and to keep you warm. I want wind TO pass through.
1.) Is there an R2 Cross Strata equivalent for women?
2.) Is the Nano Air Hybrid coming out for Fall (and in new colors)
