Stockholm patch
I visited the Patagonia store in Stockholm and the employees gifted me this patch. I also had a tear on my nano puff, which they fixed on the spot. I was very satisfied with the repair and customer service.

I have an Arc’teryx Beta AR that I use for skiing in the northeast, on resort only. It is a nice jacket but is rigid and crinkly, it sounds and feels like wearing wrapping paper. I am thinking of moving to the Patagonia Storm Shift as the material feels more user friendly and comfortable, anyone else make this switch or have thoughts?
Bought Windshadow Parka and fit looks so big on me or too boxy. Should I return and get smaller or other jacket?
Hi everyone, I bought this Classic Retro-X jacket in second hand and I'm not sure if it's for men nor women. The tag doesn't mention anything about it. Is there a way to distinguish?
Thanks for the help!
I have found that while Patagonia makes excellent quality and sustainable products, they don't have everything I might need. I find it surprising that they don't have a professional line of work bags. The backpacks are great but when it comes to a messenger bag that could be used for the office, that looks professional, they just don't have it in their lineup.
This led me to look elsewhere, such as the usual suspects Tumi, Filson, etc. Ultimately, I found this Aussie company called Bellroy. I love their minimalist designs with a focus on sustainability. In particular, I got the Tokyo Work Bag and I could not recommend it more highly.
While shopping around the website I came across a word from one of their founders, . . . I guess they also feel the same way. Patagonia has had quite the impact on the fashion world. Heroes of Design
Maybe they are for 2 different seasons? I am hoping to replace my nano that is a size too small and ripped a bit. The dad looks attractive because it covers your bum. Maybe I need both. One would be for Seattle summer evenings, another for Seattle rainy fall.
Thanks!
Bought a torrentshell 3L as primary rain coat. Have taken it on hikes and out in rain before and was great. Washed it for the first time yesterday with tide free and clear. Dried it after to reactivate. I wore it out as we had a pretty big storm today and notice it did Bead up, but some was soaking through. Took pics of the inside as well. Is it supposed to look like this? The coat is like 3 months old so I haven’t had it very long at all.
Edit: pics didn’t upload, but inside of coat is dark grey showing water
Pile lined trucker jacket - size med. I love this look. It has fleece through the whole body, very reminiscent of the Levi’s denim ones from the late 80s.
Got it on day one of the sale. The cashier said the sale is 10 days (vs 5) this year due to so much inventory. They restock daily.
I have a couple newer pairs (1-2 years old) and I recently thrifted a pair that are about 12-15 years old. The thrifted pair are so much more comfortable in that the fabric is so much softer and the newer pairs are so stiff in comparison that I don't want to wear them as much. Will they get softer and can I speed it up?
I recently read in a review that this year's Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily seems to fit smaller than previous versions.
Does anyone here have experience with this? Do you recommend sizing up?
Ideally at least covers your hips. Down to 35 degrees, 40 mostly. Packs in a small suitcase well, has a good (Seattle). Any suggestions? I have a nano but it’s too thin.
Does the vest pack into itself like the jacket? Is there a chest pocket?
I just had a brief interaction with customer service, and my issue was resolved within seconds. The chat was immediately available like no AI bot to navigate through (which I usually end up overriding by repeatedly typing “customer representative please”). Instead, I was connected directly to a representative who went above and beyond to resolve my issue.
We pay relatively premium prices for highly durable and functional clothing (although it is absolutely worth it imho), and I’m very happy to see that the premium translates into excellent customer service as well. It reminds me of Apple in the early iPhone era, when they had the best customer service before it started taking multiple store visits or chats to get the right service unless you paid for AppleCare.
Just wanted to give a big shoutout, and I truly hope Patagonia continues to deliver this kind of exceptional service.
Just looking for some second opinions here. Which color is preferable for the Nano Puff? Does the Bobcat Brown color ever go on steep discount? I can get it for 20% off ($200 total) at REI right now.
However, Patagonia has the dried Vanilla color for 40% off. ($150 total)
I haven’t tried on the Dried Vanilla but have worn a dark reddish puffy for several years now and find it very versatile for everyday and outdoors. I know the Bobcat Brown probably isn’t for everyone but I’m a pretty colorful person, especially with outdoor gear. I especially like the color yellow.
The fishing rod case seems pretty cool and I think can be used for other things as well. But please lmk what other cool things to get!
Does it cause any shrinkage to them? I have very limited space for line dry so I wonder if it is fine to tumble dry them.
Super excited for my new Patagonia gear, hopefully it lasts a lifetime!
I wrote up my experience of the R2 Techface Jacket. I know a few people are on the fence about those Hybrid jackets, but for me it has become the go to jacket for most of my week! :)
I have used the Terravia Mini Hip Pack 1L for a few years now and it has been great.
However, I recently started fishing and the 1L is too small to fit a few of my fishing gear items. I would choose the 3L but it doesn't come with a sling. The 5L would be more than enough space to carry my fishing gear.
But is the 5L overkill, too bulky & heavy, and or a hassle to carry as an EDC?
Obviously, I wont have fishing gear when i'm not fishing. I usually carry my phone, wallet, knife, pepper spray, chapstick, keys, and airpods.
This is my only fanny pack, so don't have much insight on what its like to carry a 5L sling as an EDC.
