Is this length normal for the R2 TechFace Hoody?

Picked up the Patagonia R2 TechFace Hoody in size S (172cm/55kg, so pretty slim build). Fit in the shoulders and sleeves feels right, but the hem sits pretty high on my waist and I’m getting some draft/wind coming up from underneath the hem when standing still.

Is this normal for this jacket, and if so, is there anything that actually helps with the draft (layering differently, tucking in a shirt, etc.) or is this just a tradeoff of the design?

Patagonia R2 TechFace Hoody vs Nano-Air Hoody for casual cold-weather wear (3-10°C)?

Deciding between these two for mostly casual, low-activity wear (dog walks, errands, in/out of shops and car) in the 3-10°C range, usually over a hoodie. Not doing anything aerobic in it.

I have already R1 Techface but its not warm enough for me under 10°C.

Prices are basically identical right now.

Which one protects the neck better in wind?

Severe eye strain and chest pressure from new iPhone Air

Hey everyone,
I recently switched from an iPhone 15 Pro to the new iPhone Air (120Hz). Almost immediately (especially in the evening), I started feeling severe eye strain, a weird internal pressure in my head, and even a heavy, anxious feeling on my chest.

Here is what I've tried so far to fix it on the new Air:
\- Turned on "PWM Dimming / Anti-Flicker" in Settings.
\- Reduced White Point.
\- Switched entirely to Light Mode.

Unfortunately, none of this is helping. I also have a tempered glass screen protector installed on the phone.

Has anyone experienced this specific combination of symptoms? Did your eyes eventually adjust to the new panel after a few days? Could the screen protector be causing enough micro-blur/glare to trigger this level of visual stress, or should I just return the phone and go back to my 15 Pro?

Im not sure if i should buy Air right now or wait until september.

Looking for an upgrade from Osprey Daylite

I currently use the Osprey Daylite (13L) and functionally, I absolutely love it. However, I am not a big fan of its very sporty look anymore and I'm looking for an upgrade.

Here is what I love about the Daylite and want to keep:

  • Firm but highly breathable back panel
  • Luggage pass-through
  • Great space utilization: The Daylite fits surprisingly a lot for a 13L bag.
  • Lightweight

I am looking for something with capacity around 15-18l

Does anyone have any recommendations that tick all these boxes?

Thanks in advance!

Orea O1 vs V60: Heavier body causing sore throat / silent reflux?

I recently switched from a plastic V60 to a stainless Orea O1 (Kalita 155 filters). I brew Mexico Decaf (Fellow Opus grinder).

The Orea makes a visibly thicker, heavier cup. It tastes great, but every time I drink it, I get a sore throat. It feels like silent reflux.

When I brew the exact same coffee in my V60, the brew is lighter and tea-like, and I have zero issues.

Has anyone else experienced this with flat-bottom drippers?

Did anyone manage to solve this issue, or should I just go back to the V60?
