ThinkPad X13 double image in BIOS after Lenovo motherboard replacement and chronic overheating. Advice?
Hey, so I'm having an issue with my X13 screen. It's showing like a double or overlapping image, and I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I can do about it.
The double image appears in the BIOS, so it's not a driver issue. It's definitely a hardware problem. I tried tapping around the bezel, but nothing happened.
Ever since I got the laptop back from the repair shop, it's been running way too hot. I ignored it for a while because I kept reading online that this model runs warm, but looking back, I should've done something.
I don't want to say the technician almost messed up the reassembly because of bad thermal paste or something like that. This could be a problem with my specific model. But after months of running at those temperatures, I'm thinking that's probably what caused the issue.
I'm out of warranty and past the 90-day repair window, but I don't want to pay for something that could be the result of a sloppy repair job or the device itself.
What should I do? I'm lost.
