Hello! I just accepted an offer from a company for a service contractor position, so from a full time employee I'll be changing my status to self employed

Now this company actually asks me to register with DTI and file 1901 as a sole proprietor, which I don't mind, but just a bit confused. The company I was with before this paid me in full time employee money, so Im probably going to have to file a mixed income earner 1701, but looking at the tax payers list, I see an option for a Mixed Income Earner, Sole Proprietor.

Should I change my status to a mixed income earner, sole proprietor or is changing myself to just sole proprietor and simply filing 1701 mixed income earner enough?
