Help me choose my first BOOX: PDF annotating, evening reading, and some note taking.
Adviceeeeeeeee neeeded;)
I am looking to buy my first BOOX device, but I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options (Note Air5 C, Go Color 7 Gen II or Go 10,3 lumi) and could really use some advice based on my specific use. I wanted to go with a more budget friendly device, but now I don't know if I need a bigger screen or color, or both. And I would love to have a stylus.
Here is what I am planning to do with the device:
- Reading & Annotating PDFs: I will be reading a lot of PDFs, highlights/marking them up, and writing down occasional notes directly on the documents.
- Third-party Apps: I want to use a specific local digital library app (Storytel) rather than being locked into the standard Kindle or Kobo ecosystem.
- Evening Reading: I love to read in bed at night, so a built-in frontlight/backlight is an absolute must-have for me.
I also have one specific question regarding color vs. monochrome screens: Is color really important or necessary for taking notes and highlighting PDFs? I mostly read text-based documents, but I am unsure if missing out on different highlighter colors (yellow, green, blue) will negatively impact the study/note-taking experience. Or that I need color for graphs.
Given these needs, which BOOX model would be the absolute best fit for me?
Thanks in advance for your help!
