TLDR: 11 surgeries and a baby caused me to need full time care and get evicted. Paid off eviction in one lump sum not long after. Lived with friend and grandparents since, paying rent...Any hope of renting my own place?
Full story:
In 2022 I was pregnant, I ended up having kidney issues and needed 7 surgeries while pregnant, I then needed 2 more after pregnancy for my kidneys. A few months later I needed an emergency gallbladder removal and they left me bleeding internally, I nearly passed away, they had to open me back up and fix the accidental cut on my liver. During this I couldn't work or care for myself, my partner had to take care of me and our child. We fell behind in rent and utility. As soon as I had a job and was able to start to pay my landlord served us court papers, she knew of all my medical issues. I tried desperately to get her to agree to wait for back payment or at least let us just move out and drop the eviction promising payment. She agreed to neither, and we ended up in court. I paid my eviction off in one lump sum only months later. Since then I've lived with a friend paying her rent, her landlord then ended her lease to sell the home and I live with my grandparents paying them rent, but in their old age they want to retire and go to Florida, I can't afford to buy their nearly $300,000 home, they need the sale to afford the move and retirement so I can't just take over the payments. I need my own place for my family, do I have any chance of renting??
