Feasibility of trip based around viewing World Cup Matches at local pubs/sports bars
I am planning to traveling through Europe as an American starting in June with no set end date yet. One of my favorite social activities is watching sporting events in local sports bars. I was hoping to make specific travel plans during the trip in order to follow teams as they progress through the cup (eg if France makes it to semi finals, go to Paris) starting with London for the English group stages.
As a savage barbarian American without knowledge of traveling europe or football scheduling, how viable is this idea? What countries have the best odds to make it the furthest? Are there countries they may be eliminated first that would be must visits (in terms of enthusiasm, energy, and hospitality) for the viewing/community experience?
Excited for the chance to bring SEC sports passion, and my football fandom is completely up for grabs so hoping to find a team to ride or die with after this
