Am just a military MI dude with TS-SCI. Am starting law school this fall, and am hoping to do a year abroad in Europe year 2 between fall 2027- spring 2028 to get an LLM.

The 5 year date of my clearance is around spring of 2028. Should I restart my clearance paperwork around spring 2027 to avoid being abroad for the reinvestigation?

I know its a ways out... but we know how quick the time crunch appears out of nowhere.

I'm out of the region right now and am requesting video chats for prospective apartments. Hopefully to make a couple of selections and then take a flight to the city and check them out in a day.

What questions should I ask about the apartments over the video chat to rule them in or rule them out? What red flags should I look for?
