Leave before burning out

Just like the title says. I read this sentence recently and have been applying it. Seems to work. Is obvious but I wanted to put it out there because others might just need to read it to click, like I did. I used, and still do a bit, hold out at an event hoping to hype myself or for the event to get better. Instead, I now don't push myself to stay. When I start thinking of leaving, or notice am just floating around, I leave on good terms.

Am using this to the point where I am careful about "trapping" myself somewhere with no way back on my terms. For example, I did not go out somewhere this past Saturday because I was concerned of getting burnt out, but the weekend before I did go.

This simple rule is helping me focus and not burn. Hope this helps others.

Taxi dancer

Silly day dream...I think it would be cool to be invited to be a taxi dancer at one of my smaller local socials.

It would give me that self confidence that people want to dance with me.

So what good has come out from learning you are autistic?

We often read and feel the bad, but there are good things too. The whole "ohhh, that is why" is the main obvious one, but any others?

Am thinking the " ok, this is because of my autism, so lets let it be then" type of thing. Am still new to knowing, so I am still learning, but I feel there are some aspects where one has to accept autism is causing the issue so it is best not to fight it. I still don't have clear when to fight it and when not to, but the times I don't, gives me tranquility.
