I was busy studying with my phone in do not disturb (so I didn't notice any of the notifications), and when I pick it up and check the time I notice some people started following me.

I open Instagram and go to the notifications and realize that hundreds of accounts started following me out of nowhere, they all seem like bots or people that have no business in following me, which makes me think they probably got hacked. I tried reporting and removing some of them from my followers list but there are way too many of them!

I'm confused and honestly scared, what should I do? Should i send an email to Instagram support asking to help me with this? (can they even do something about it?)I don't want all these random people in my followers count.
