Libertarians upset at republicans, Massie's loss
This is anecdotal, obviously. Below are selected comments from the subreddit. There were also a ton of comments accusing Israel of buying the seat.
>Massie was quite literally the only person on Capitol Hill I trusted
.
>The boomers are going to be the death of this country, falling so easily for all the Fox News propaganda and Trump tweets. Massie is what the founders envisioned. Trump is what the founders warned against.
.
>Sad to see that many voters in KY-04 would rather have total power in the executive brach over the Constitution: the document that truly makes America great. Washington was right. Political parties are a great poison to our nation.
.
>Just saw he lost. I’m actually pissed. God forbid we have one libertarian leaning candidate who actually has the balls to stand up against the party.
.
>Yet more proof of the uselessness of the Republican Party. Enough of this "Hey, let's be Republicans and try to change the party from within!" already. The Libertarian Party was formed for a reason.
.
(this last comment is my favorite, although I'm not sure it was made by a libertarian)
>So, Libertarians finally regretting inviting Trump to their conference, and Mises caucus leadership all endorsing Trump? Instead we got spending on steroids, Palantir police state on steroids, new wars, tariffs, and now the last remaining libertarian adjacent congressman is gone (after Justin Amash in 2021).
