Is anyone else going to UK Games Expo next weekend?

There are a bunch of Arkham games going on with spaces left if people are interested, four different scenarios from what I recall.

"Golden Gates" in Silent Hill 3

So in Silent Hill 3 the player character visits a confessional and hears the voice of a woman begging her god for forgiveness for her sins and asking that once she dies she may see her dead child within the god's Golden Gates.

Given that Silent Hill 3 was an influence on some of Termina's imagery do you think this line might have influenced the naming of Rher's hidden dream realm, consciously or otherwise?

Notably the player character also visits a confessional in Termina, though it's played more for comedy than horror with O'Saa pranking them, at least afterwards, so the parallel could well be a coincidence.

Thoughts on my Mark and Finn decklists?

I'm setting up Mark as a fighter and Finn as a cluever, while trying to mainly limit myself to cards up to TFA and the original starter decks (though I'm happy to proxy the odd thing, as you can see with Hallowed Mirror in Mark).

Any thoughts? Finn is possibly lacking in healing/soak. I'm considering taking them into The Forgotten Age (blind run) which I hear is tough so maybe he'd be better off with Peter Sylvestre and Smoking Pipe.

Are these references or is my brain just Arkhampilled?

My heart skipped a beat when I unlocked a card called Take Heart in a tactical deckbuilding videogame I'm playing and I'm unsure if it and other similar card names like Moonlit Ritual and Sign Magick are direct references to Arkham or if they're just common phrases that crop up in tons of games. Enemies also add Doom which can make you lose the game if they reach the bottom of the screen but that's also generic enough that it could be a coincidence.

Game is called Star Vaders if anyone is curious, sort of Slay The Spire meets Space Invaders.

[Edit: Turns out it absolutely is a reference and there were tons more I hadn't seen yet since the game's designer Axolotl also made the Dark Matter fan campaign, that's awesome! Strongly recommend checking the game out if you're at all into deckbuilding videogames, it's a ton of fun : )]
