ceruminous cysts in cat
Hi!
My 5-year-old cat was diagnosed with this. My vet told me that she wanted me to un-alive him immediately unless I did the CO2-surgery that's on the other side of the country. It costs ALOT. Hes insured, but even with insurance this surgery, the travel and also the chance he's not gonna recover from the surgery makes it impossible for me to do it. I feel like a shit cat-parent.
I was going to ask for ear-cleaning and cortisone or antibiotics to treat the current problem, but I've also discovered he's starting to cower even when I touch his more healthy ear. He's already on pain-killers, but is this life fair to him?
He's got an ear-infection + fungus in his ear. He bled too much at the last visit which makes it unsure if it's spread to the middle-ear and if his eardrum might be broken. But the amount of bleeding makes me think that is the case.
He plays, eats and snuggles, but the vet says its inhumane to wait for him to stop anything of those things.
What do I do?
