Filed in March, still no updates on refund + no transcript for 2025. Desperate for advice
My 2025 tax return has been delayed for months. I had to paper-file this year in March, and tracking confirmed the IRS received it in early April. Ever since, absolutely nothing has moved.
When I log into my IRS account, there are no 2025 transcripts available except for the W2/Wage one. This week I got this error code: “TDS system has encountered an unrecoverable error.”
I've called 800-829-1040 multiple times since April. Got through 4 times, but the reps were completely useless and couldn't tell me anything. Now, I can’t even get into the call queue. It just kicks me off due to high call volume.
Tried contacting TAS, but they can't help me either.
I feel utterly helpless and trapped in a black hole. Has anyone experienced this before?
