Where did the idea that therianthropy is "involuntary" come from?

Seems like no one really questions it much, but just repeats it because it's the definition they've gotten used to.

I should not that I'm a bison due to reincarnation, so I don't have a personal horse in this particular race, but I do think the idea that something must be involuntary in order to be deep and integral is kinda silly. I've talked about it at length before -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=690Iju-5KUY

Help me find a creepypasta, please!

Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit, idk where else to ask. I've been looking for this creepypasta for a decade, so my memory might be slightly wrong. I heard it on youtube when I was a kid (likely read by Mr Creepypasta, possibly by CreepsMcPasta). This is all I remember:

  • Kids are exploring the woods
  • They come across a flat house. Like, two-dimensional, like it's made of cardboard
  • There are flat people outside the house, and they're alive

I wish I could remember more, but alas. For some reason it really freaked me out. Maybe because nothing overtly 'scary' actually happened. It was told in a way similar to genuine folkloric anecdotes, where people just see something that shouldn't be happening and there's no a resolution.

Is there a way to install ilovepdf on my desktop without using the microsoft app store?

Hi, I hate the app store because it limits my ownership of my own machine (I'm not even allowed to a desktop shortcut to software installed as an "app"). I would very much like to install ilovepdf as an actual program on my own personal computer, instead of as an "app."

Nimbus and Nova share a kiss 🥰

Nimbus just got neutered a week ago, and I think they're both very excited to get properly introduced once August rolls around!

(The vet said to wait 4 weeks, but Nova is way too old to survive giving birth, so I'm waiting the full 6 weeks. I can't take any chances with my sweet girl.)

I hope everyone is handling the heatwave! Nimbus sure is😄

We hit 35°C today - very unusual for Scandinavia, and potentially dangerous since the sun is low on the horizon (meaning it hits your entire body full force, instead of just your head and shoulders) and since our houses are built to trap heat and not let it escape.

I put water bottles in the freezer last night and put them in the pig pen around noon. I haven't seen Nova use hers yet, but Nimbus definitely appreciates it!
