I am completely confused how this scenario could happen:

  1. Item 1 purchased 16th April. Seller dispatched via In Post on 19th.

  2. Item 2 purchased 22nd April. Seller dispatched via In Post on 29th.

  3. Receive notification that Item 1 has been delivered 1st May. However on collection it turns out to be Item 2.

  4. Item 1 now showing as delivered (which it isn’t) and Item 2 as out for delivery (which it isn’t).

Obviously Item 1 might eventually turn up and no damage done but I am genuinely confused how this could happen!

Also, assuming Item 1 doesn’t ever get delivered what happens then as it looks like it has been delivered!!

Luckily it’s not expensive and life is too short to engage with Vinted on this but it’s totally baffling to me.

Trying to work out what these would have been used for. Context is upper floor of a 1825 townhouse in Edinburgh. Below it is is an approximate 8m drop into a garden. Considered a laundry or coal pulley system but the drop is impeded by the roof of a small offshoot (the old scullery that was part of the original building) so any basket would not have a clean drop to garden.
