In fact, I see it as the author putting Hana in the story to show that Hirose is not the type of guy to be in straight relationships. And it actually increases the chances of hirose x Nakamura being canon cuz just like what hirose told him, it's easier to talk those things out with BOYS. And he told Nakamura that he and Hana didn't quite click (hirose was curious about the feeling of love so he agreed to date her, but he felt uncomfortable)!<

SO YAH...IM QUITE CONFIDENT THEY'LL END UP TOGETHER XD

I'm still hoping they will be canon, but a part of me says no... I mean, we only have 4 episodes left (there's 9 as of now)
