Strange monster appeared in multiple nightmares as a kid

When I was about 4-7 I used to have dreams that had this strange creature in them. He’d terrify me to the point of waking up in tears and having to sleep in my parents room. Here’s a reanactment of him. He was a bear, and would walk around like a man in a mascot costume, usually only walking towards me. Most dreams with him had a simple premise. I’d be doing a normal activity, sometimes with family, and this guy would walk out of nowhere and start chanting “dis evil sata dis” over and over again until he got to me. He had a very low voice and you could tell it was a costume. The dream would usually end like that. Here’s a few nightmares I used to have. In no particular order and not all of them. Just the ones that stuck with me.

Nightmare 1: the living room.

Me and my family were sitting in the living room. All of a sudden, the monster walks through the hallway to the bathroom. (You can see this in the photo, which is my real living room but I told ai to put a drawing I made of him in) I started screaming and crying, but my family did nothing. They barely even acknowledged him. He came up to me and hugged me and I died, then woke up.

Nightmare 2:
The living room, but with a costume change.

The same exact thing, but he was dressed up as the damn mom from the kids book “little critter me and my mom”. I’ve had a theory that the books my mom would read to me as a kid would influence my dreams, but it’s only happened once.

Nightmare 3: the water fountain.

I was outside in a line to the water fountain with my dad. I saw at the front of the line was the monster. (There might have been multiple of them? I don’t know.) He finished his water, and walked past the line, until he saw me. He started chanting, and I suddenly saw a third person pov of me getting picked up by the bear, and running into the forest without my dad noticing. I then woke up.

Nightmare 4: the doorbell.

This was the latest one I remember. I was in my kitchen, my mom was making dinner and my sister was in the living room. The doorbell rang, and my mom told me to get it. But somehow, I knew it was gonna be the monster. So I cried and said I didn’t want to get the door. My mom yelled at me and I finally got the door. And guess who it was? The monster. And he ate me, bam. Wake up.

I’ve been so interested by this guy for years. I could’ve sworn I’ve seen him in real life before, if anyone can help me figure out what this was let me know please. Feel free to ask ANY questions! I’ll answer them.

I’ll also edit this if I remember any new details.

something I want to get off my chest

(Note: Sorry if I word things poorly in this, I'm not great at talking about this kinda stuff, and I'm struggling to define my thoughts, but I'll try to be careful. I use "they" pronouns when referring to Jax for consistency and because I'm not entirely sure which ones to use.)

I'm a casual fan of TADC. When I watched the finale, I thought it was pretty great. Soon after I got recommended a video talking about how obvious Jax's transness was the whole time. I didn't feel like it was obvious at all. I'm a cis male, so of course I'm not gonna pick up on all the same hints that the trans audience would. I don't have a problem with Jax being trans. I don't have a problem with trans people in real life. I just don't know if I should refer to Jax as a female or male. I acknowledge that Goose has said they are transfem (but use any pronouns), but the way Jax is depicted in the show is masc-presenting. I know they are repressed. I want to pick a side, but I can't for some reason. It doesn't feel like a betrayal but it's just confusing. I'm not attached to Jax as a character that much, but I'm just torn. I don't know if I should use he/him (because of the way they present in the show) or if I should use she/her. Maybe I'm just unsettled by the fact they have hair now. I dunno. It's complicated. I think I just don't understand trans folks enough to get it. I just want to know if it's ok to refer to them as "he" or if I should use "she". Please don't kill me. Thanks. (also I know Jax is a self-insert, but I'm still curious about their pronouns. that's all.)

What's up with this letter in the Painful booklet?

Something about somebody complaining about a show but it's pretty hard to read. I know that it finishes out w/ "Up yours, you tacent(?) fucks!" but what's the deal with putting it in the booklet? I was just wondering about this recently and wanted to know if there's any background on it or why they put it in there. Thanks!

I really, really, really, REALLY like ALFOTHAD.

I don't know why. My timeline of listening to Godspeed is a weird one. I listened to Skinny Fists first in October of 2025, then a few tracks from Yanqui and Allelujah, then saw All Lights on their Bandcamp and thought it looked interesting and listened to it all over the course of a few days. It just sounded so cool and weird. It reminded me of III-era Sebadoh or Daniel Johnston or something, but still sorta sounded like actual Godspeed at times. I also hadn't heard Silver Mt. Zion at this point so it was very strange to hear lyrics in the music. Yeah, I dunno, I just really like this album and I think it's pretty underappreciated.

Actually how have they not done a vid on this one yet? It's not bad or anything but they watched the first one, and I think they should watch this one

Also this has probably been cleared up but where has Josiah been? It's been a few months since he's been in a video
