Turn It In Assignment Submission Anxiety

Has anyone else dealt with serious anxiety after submitting an assignment and seeing a high Turnitin similarity score?

I just submitted a paper and Turnitin gave it a 44% similarity score. The thing is, I didn't plagiarize, use AI, or copy and paste from sources. I researched everything myself and wrote the paper in my own words.

When I looked at the report, a lot of what was flagged included the assignment questions that we were required to include from the rubric, my references page, and even random single words and common phrases.

I've already had an academic integrity issue in a different class, so seeing that number immediately sent my anxiety through the roof. I'm trying to remind myself that similarity doesn't automatically mean plagiarism, but it's hard not to worry while waiting for the instructor to review it.

Have any of you submitted papers with higher similarity scores because of templates, references, or rubric questions? How did it turn out?
