The customer tried to trap me

Idk if this customer was trying to trap me or the post man but on the delivery notes it says leave at mailbox. The mailbox is on a street so I didn't want to just leave it on the side. I put it in the mailbox. When I opened it there was $105 just thrown in there. No envelope or anything. I look up and there are deliveries at the door. So I'm like oh is this a tip for actually following directions? (Some customers do leave tips this way) I DID NOT TAKE IT. I messaged the customer and asked if it was a tip. They responded and said "why are you in the mailbox that isn't for you." I told them I didn't take it and that their notes said to leave at mailbox. No apology or followup from them to acknowledge that oh yeah I did say that. Next time I'll just drop it on the road and say you said near the mailbox. But then they'll report it as stolen when someone walks past it and grabs it. I'm not upset that the tip wasn't for me it's the fact that I had to play another round of what the hell does this customer want.
