Missing item Refund Issues

I have had two major issues recently and wanted to check how the forum proceeds:

  1. Had a 9000 rupees bulk order - where deserts worth 900 ish did not come. Since the order was split into two seperate orders - the agent returned me 200 rupees. They ask was to repeat the whole exercise on the second delivery - consuming another 45 mins
  2. I had a spoilt milk shake delivered costing 200 - and that was the main reason to place the order. When i reported it the chat bot asked to
  3. If I just wanted to report. REPORT!!
  4. I asked for a refund and they gave me a Token of apology of 35 rupee for a spoilt product. And after a series of escalations got 150 rupees back.

These are serious anti patterns on the APP and for someone who has ordered may be 50/60 thousand rupees worth of food/instamart each year this was a shock. I did raise it to their extremely senior leadership - and they were my ex colleagues/Friends. Unfortunately got no satisfactory reason for this anti patterns- except that customers will abuse this provision.

This was a serious breach of trust for me and I have finally installed zomato and moved the entire order book to zomato - have decided to keep ordering from that APP - where my last order was clearly delivered. No more loyalty to fraud apps. So far have been ordering from zomato over the last three weeks.

but i feel as indian consumers cannot expect high service standards and Companies can expect to trust the average indian consumer. Consumers show the first lack of character leading to complete integrity brakedown across the entire Biz. Even with me knowing their heads of business could not accomplish much - except getting refund may be and solve my own case.
