My "It finally happened to me story".

Picked up this guy in front of the a sports bar around 2pm. He wasn’t obviously intoxicated. He gets in and says he doesn’t know how to add a stop and asks if if I could stop by a 7/11 really quick. Normally I would have given him an excuse why I can’t, but I was in a good mood, so I said ok. Stopped at 7/11 at Escondido Blvd and Felicita. A few minutes later he came out carrying 2-12 packs of Modelo. He gets back in the car and starts telling me that he’s trying to help with his massive hangover. His destination was only 6 minutes away, so it figured let just get this guy home. 2 minutes later he opens a beer and starts drinking. I tell it’s illegal to have an open container in the car. He says sorry and that he’ll drink it quickly. I decide I’ll pull over and have him get rid of it. But before I can, he starts retching. I obviously started freaking out and tell him to grab a grocery bag out of the seat pocket, but it was too late. So I pulled into the CVS and told him to get out of the car and that I would have to stop driving for the rest of the day. He didn’t argue and got out. I drove a safe distance away to assess the mess and cancel the trip. Last I saw him he was sitting on the curb with his 23 and a half beers. I submitted a photo to Uber but they wanted a receipt before agreeing to reimbursement. Local car wash quoted me $200 for interior detail but I was nervous about shelling out the cash with no guarantee that Uber would pay. I did my best to self clean, but the next day the smell was awful so I took a chance and paid for the detailing. I submitted it to Uber and they agreed to pay $175.
