(EDIT: THIS IS A HIDDEN HELIX) Hey y’all! It’s my first time posting on this thread, so please be kind to me haha. I’ve had this piercing for about two months now. I started out with a very long bar, but it kept getting caught on my hair so I switched to a shorter one after a couple of weeks.
Now, I’ve noticed it’s got this purple dot behind it. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a bump-rather just like this spot of discoloration. It appears to be going slightly up the side of my piercing, but not growing over it or forming a nasty bump, if that makes sense. A few things –

– It is not leaking pus
– The skin is not hot to the touch
– It is not normally red/swollen and irritated; It only looks like this in the photos because I was messing with it to take a pic
– There is no throbbing pain or any pain at all. It just hurts to mess with it, of course
\- Flatback labret, threadless
\- I clean it pretty often with saline solution
\- I don’t irritate it often, but I do occasionally roll over in my sleep and lay on it for a bit

Can someone let me know if this is serious and I need to take it out/see a doctor, or if I’m just overreacting? I only have one other helix piercing and it’s been a long time since I’ve had it done so I can’t remember if it had any purple discoloration.
