At first it was fun, but now it feels like every show leans on the same nostalgia picks — Here We Go Again, Camp Rock, that stuff. The whole point of the throwback idea should be actual throwbacks: songs she hasn’t touched in years, deep cuts people genuinely wouldn’t expect. Instead, it kind of just feels like repeating the same nostalgia bait over and over.

A lot of these are the same older songs she already does all the time — the same TikTok songs, the same tracks that end up in every other video, the same songs she’s been playing live forever. That’s what makes it frustrating.

Demi has such a deep catalog, and it feels like she’s leaning way too hard on nostalgia instead of pulling out some of the good stuff from tmylm, Holy Fvck, Dancing with the Devil, or even some underrated singles.

Throwbacks should actually be throwbacks — songs nobody expects, not the same mediocre old tracks she already plays all the time even without the whole throwback segment.

She has so many genuinely great songs, so it’s kind of annoying seeing the same older, pretty mid throwbacks keep getting the spotlight instead of songs she actually hasn’t played in years.
