Tire shop scratched wheels?
Got a flat tire yesterday (right in the middle of the treaded area of the tire) and dropped the tire off for a patch at a local shop. When I got the tire back I noticed there were two areas with scratches on the inner wheel, from either scrapping weights or from the balancing. The larger scratched area is about 2.5x1 inch and is quite visible. They also put eight 1/2 oz weights to balance the tire which is a bit of an eye sore, but I get it if they needed that many to balance it? All this to get home, reinstall the wheel, and find out it had 8psi. Currently not sure if it was the patch leaking or if they didn’t inflate fully.
The wheel is from a 2022 Ridgeline with just over 30k miles. Not so much as a single scratch on all three of my other wheels.. I’m positive this damage was not there prior to dropping off. Justifiable to be unhappy about this?
