Sudden termination and advice about L permit
Hi everyone, I need some advice. I’ve been working in a hotel in Zurich around 9 months and I never had any serious problems at work and never received warnings before from the company.
But yesterday my manager suddenly asked me to sign a termination agreement because my german is “not improving enough”. My german is around A2 and I’m still studying, but I always try speaking german with guests.
I have an L permit and now I’m worried about what happens after June if I don’t find another job immediately. My permit should still be valid until December. Is this normal in Switzerland? And can I still stay while searching for another job?
I’m also trying to look for a new job now, so if anyone has tips it would really help. Most of my experience here is in service, but back in my home country (southeast Asia) I also worked in a corporate office before moving to Switzerland.
