My apartment complex changed management and now we can't get ahold of anyone. We had previous agreements on a balance owed and payment plan, but when the new lady started, nobody said anything to us, just sent an eviction notice. It took 3 months for us to get in contact with them, and I had to make a fake email and pretend to be interested in an apartment to get them to respond at all. Now the end of our lease is coming, they haven't sent us a renewal or a nonrenewal, and we had previously agreed to switching to a bigger unit at the end of this lease in June but now they aren't responding to contact. They haven't even been at the office in three weeks. There's three different phone numbers online for them and no one answers. We don't have the credit to move. What can we do?
Other information: the previous past due balance is completely paid and we kept the receipts. I emailed them after every payment and received no reply.
A different tenant also received an eviction notice mid payment plan, and has not received any contact. The time for the eviction has already passed, and no police have shown up or anything, but they don't know if their a legal tenant anymore.
They are only open once a week, but haven't been there at all.
