Hi everyone,

Just looking for some information/support through this journey.

My wife and I are undergoing a reciprocal IVF frozen egg transfer. I had my egg retrieval done a couple weeks ago. I felt awful during my medications. I suffer from PCOS so a risk of having too many (not great quality eggs, was a risk), during the weeks on my medications I felt completely bloated and felt like I was going to blow. During my ultrasounds it was painful the closer I was getting to my retrieval date with how many follicles I had in my ovaries and how full they were. Fast forward to after my retrieval, I was at first very sore and tender, suffered from OHSS. But am now doing great.

My wife was upset as they retrieved 39 eggs, 27 matured, 25 took the fertilization and then we landed on 13 blastocysts. Which is amazing we understand, just hard to see the initial number decrease and decrease. Financially we decided to send 7/13 away for the PGT-A testing and we were told 6 were normal and passed the testing.

How did you all experience with your first frozen embryo transfer? We are from Ontario, Canada and are just looking for anyone with similar experiences and how that process is done/ your experience for it. Obviously we know every case is different, we are remaining hopeful that it will all go well and we do have potentially six tries at this.
