Misos new tank 🎉

We had an extra 40gal but I heard that it was better to keep them in smaller tanks when they are little but with advice I learned it's better to just have them in the big tank so here it is :)

How I got Miso 🥹❤️

I had been cycling through wanting a hognose, a ball python or pet rats, (All pets I've been wanting for a long time) I had really started to settle in on the idea of getting rats, unbeknownst to me my boyfriend REALLY did not like the idea of getting pet rats but didn't want to tell me what I can and cannot get

But my lovely boyfriend knows me so well so he was like hey you wanna go to (reptile/bird place) and look at the animals? And I was of course like uh yeah I do, well my boyfriend had already searched it up and they had some new baby hognoses, his plan was being set in motion

We walk into the place, we take our time glancing around at all the animals and we finally reach the very back room where the tanks with all the baby hognoses, I don't even remember walking over to the tanks I genuinely just materialized in front of them

This little guy was sitting right at the front of the tank blepping his little tongue at me and I just stared at him for a minute and then I walked briefly around to look at the other ones but barely spared them a glance, I kept going back to this little guy and just melting

As I was standing infront of his tank and just exclaiming about how adorable he is, I heard the magic words from behind me. "Do you wanna get him?" I whipped around and was like "you're kidding" and he just shook his head, grinning ear to ear, so I walked out with little Miso, my boyfriend knew I'd fall in love with a little baby snake

He's been a little ANGEL, I've had him since June 20th, he's eaten twice, he comes out every day, I've handled him a couple times with absolutely no defensive behavior and when I put him back he doesn't go hide, I'm literally just so in love with this little snake 🥹

Thank you for reading my dragging on ass story about little Miso, I literally just can't stop talking about him

Demon grabbed me in bed?

This was when I was in highschool and living with my mom, I've recently been listening to a lot of scary reddit stories so thought it would be cool to share some of my experiences too

Basically I was laying in bed one night and at the time I had my bed pushed up against the wall and on the opposite side of the room I had a closet door with a sliding door, the sliding door is very important here.

So I'm laying in bed on my stomach, my face towards the wall as I hear my closet door slowly sliding open, I freeze immediately, there's no way the wind would push open a sliding door and my window was closed anyways so I am FROZEN with fear, I can't even turn my head towards my closet because I am terrified of what I'm gonna see, I'd rather die in ignorance idk lmao

Slowly I hear footsteps leaving the closet, plopping one by one towards my bed in a disturbingly slow pace, I still refuse to look, I genuinely cannot bring myself to look

As the footsteps reach the foot of my bed it becomes silent for a couple seconds before I feel a pair of cold hands grab my lower back and that's when I shoot up out of bed and start frantically looking around but nothing was there

Who knows if I was having a bout of sleep paralysis (though I've never gotten it before that or since) or if it was a demon or ghost but it freaked me the hell out

Hognose advice for first time snake owner

Recently got a new little baby hognose, his name's Miso and I want nothing more in the world then to give him the best possible life, as a first time snake owner I've been really nervous about doing something wrong or something that's bad for him, here's his little enclosure and him, any sort of advice for keeping a hoggie would be appreciated ❤️
