A few years back my husband and I were arguing a lot due to a certain medication he was prescribed that made him angry and aggressive. I mention thus because there was obvious tension in our home. One night I was doing laundry and I walked past the bathroom and saw him sitting on the toilet scrolling on hus phone. The next room I would pass would be his office. When I walked past his office I saw him sitting in front of his computer screen. I dropped the laundry and yelled out his name. He walked out of his office and asked whats up. I then had him walk me back towards the bathroom and asked him "were you in here in the past 15 seconds"? He replied "no, you just walked past me, I was in my office for the past hour or so". When I told him what I had just experienced he decided to tell me about a time he heard me call him into the kitchen and when he entered the kitchen I was no where to be found. He walked into our bedroom which is abt 2000 sq ft away from the kitchen. I remember him asking me if I called him into the kitchen and telling him no. Wondering why would I call him into the kitchen when I was in bed reading for the past hour but he never mentioned it to me until I told him abt the bathroom incident. Ever since the arguing has stopped in our home all the weird things have stopped. Like our belongings disappearing and some reappearing where we already looked. Also some objects appearing that do not belong to either of us.

Recently I have gotten into what some would call “creepy” things. Studying the history of witchcraft and esoterica, reading about divination practices etc. Personally I have not “practiced” anything I have studied/read about, but the deep dive into these things takes up a lot of my time.

That being said, I recently visited my family’s home about two days ago and spent the night . Just today my dad sends me a photo of the foggy mirror after his shower, only there was a disturbing message written on it. The message reads “What is your real name?”

He immediately points the blame to me, accusing me of trying to communicate with “things” in his house , since he is aware of my recent studies and interest in this stuff. Naturally I thought he was playing some kind of joke or possibly even lying to scare me into stopping my morbid curiosity as he is very against that.

I really thought it was fake, but then his girlfriend bursts into his room, and I can hear her distantly, freaking out about more writing on the mirror. Directly below the previously stated question was the word “BAT” written completely in capital letters. Then, besides that were a series of question marks written backwards, paired with some exclamation points.

I go to rule out the mundane, someone pranking us, maybe it was another family member who had stayed over, literally any mundane thing I could think of to be the cause. They swear up and down they had thoroughly cleaned the mirror the day I arrived , and don’t believe any of my family would have written it (as they are god fearing Christians )

The only other thing I could think of is that the items I had brought home from goodwill had something attached to them? But i still question why *something* would communicate with itself or something else through the bathroom mirror? I did some surface level research on bat symbolism, bat gods or bat related deities, but now I’m here to ask.

Does anyone have a similar experience or insight on this situation? I will say that night my old room had some scary vibes 😭 I had to light my favorite incense stick just to calm me with the scent, could I have actually felt something real then? Also let me know if this is the right flair to use 🫪

This literally happened tonight, October 3, 2026, around 11 PM in Grants Pass, Oregon. My dad and I were sitting outside on some new patio furniture I’d just gotten. We’d been out there for a while just talking, joking around and hanging out. We had the outdoor lights off and were looking at the night sky.

First, I saw a bizarre light. It became extremely bright yellow, changed toward blue, and then seemed to just stop/disappear. It didn’t look like any shooting star I’ve ever seen. It seemed relatively close and was honestly difficult to describe, my immediate impression was almost like watching a tiny tear or opening in the sky. “Wormhole” or “rip” is the closest visual description I can come up with, but I’m not claiming that’s what it was.

Then, roughly five minutes later, my dad suddenly pointed something out moving through the sky. This is the part that freaked both of us out. It looked like an absolutely enormous pair of wings, probably 15–20 feet across from our perspective. The closest comparison would be giant bat-like wings, except the movement was incredibly smooth and elegant. It was completely silent.

The wings seemed to have a very subtle glow and almost translucent appearance. We could not make out a head. We could not make out a tail. I couldn’t even clearly identify a central body. What stood out was just this enormous wing-shaped form silently moving through the darkness. My dad saw it too. This was not something I noticed alone and then convinced myself I saw. Afterward I started Googling descriptions because neither of us knew what the hell we had just seen.

That’s when I found the old post by u/idontknow5501 describing an 18–20 foot pair of wings, subtle glow, almost see-through appearance, and no visible head or tail. That stopped me in my tracks because we had already used those same words to describe what we saw before finding the post. That’s the reason I’m posting this.

u/idontknow5501 — if you’re still around, I would really like to compare what you saw with what my dad and I saw tonight. Has anyone else seen something like this? Particularly in Oregon or the Pacific Northwest? I’m not claiming it was an alien, an angel, a cryptid, or anything supernatural. I genuinely don’t know what it was. I’d actually welcome a normal explanation. But whatever we saw was strange enough that both of us are still trying to process it.

I have a weird story that happened to me yesterday, and I genuinely cannot explain it.

Last week, i bought a small plastic water bottle and I am 100% sure i only bought that one bottle I had just moved to this city, so I couldn't have already had another bottle like it before buying this one.

For the whole week i went to class with that bottle, Ionly have two bottles in total, a big one and this small blue one. Every day, I kept the small one in my bag, took it out during class to drink from it and put it back in my bag, my bag is always in front of me in the amphitheater, so I don't normally leave it somewhere else or take the bottle out or give it to someone, yesterday i was getting my bag ready to go to class, i opened my bag and saw the bottle inside exactly where it normally is, i thought "okay I'll finish getting dressed then I'll take it out and fill it with water before leaving"

I closed my bag, put on my shoes, and was about to leave when I noticed my blue bottle on the table, i thought i must have taken my bottle out of my bag and left it on the table without remembering, so I picked it up,filled it with water, and went to put it back in my bag.

But when I opened my bag, I was shocked because my original bottle was still inside !!!

So suddenly i had 2 identical bottles with the exact same brand, same color, same size, and same shape. The second bottle even had a little bit of water in it approximately the same amount that was in my original bottle.

I asked the girl i live with about it because there are only 2 of us living here, she showed me her bottle and told me that hers is green and she said she had never bought a bottle like mine.

I am completely sure I didn't buy another one before this week, because I had only just arrived in the city before buying my bottle, thats why this is so strange to me.

I genuinely have no idea where the second bottle came from.

It almost feels like a little Matrix glitch

New here, and figured what the heck, I'll share and maybe feel like I'm not the only one!

Husband and I live in remote, rural Ireland. The house isn't old -- only about 25 years -- but the land was once part of a larger family property... if that's relevant.

We've been here for around eight years, and have repeatedly heard, seen, and even interacted with each other, when it definitely hasn't been us. (And yes, we have carbon monoxide detectors, and all that fun stuff.)

A few instances:
We've eaten dinner on the couch, he's fall asleep, and woke up to find me sleeping there. He'd try to wake me up and get me to go to bed, I'd tell him no, I'm staying there, and he'd go upstairs to find me happily and obliviously asleep in bed already. That's happened more than once. He's also seen me sitting on the couch while I'm actually in the office.

There's a wall separating the kitchen from the living room, and he's often heard me walking into the kitchen behind him, talking, only to turn around and I'm definitely not there. That's happened a LOT, that we've heard each other -- even had full conversations around a wall, or from separate rooms -- only to find the other isn't there. And it's not just us. My dog very, very rarely leaves my side, and we've both heard him talking to us from the den outside my office. It's so clear and loud that it's woken her up from a sound sleep, and she starts chattering away like it's him. He's been nowhere around.

For months, if he would wake up first and go downstairs, it would be a matter of a few minutes before I'd hear what sounded exactly like his footsteps coming back up the stairs, only it would keep going completely regularly well beyond the number of stairs we actually have. I legit thought he was just messing with me, but guarantees he's not.

The most... unsettling weirdness happens in the back hallway. The back door leads to a short hall, with the laundry room and bathroom off one side, pantry off the other side. He's said he's seen a woman with long, wet-looking, blonde hair standing outside the laundry room, which is freaky enough, considering the property lies alongside a major river. I haven't seen anything *knocks on wood* but my cat refuses to let me go in the hallway by myself. It doesn't matter where he is or what he's doing, when I go in the hall, he's there. When I shower, he sits outside the bathroom door, waits, and then goes about his little kitty business once I leave. Doing laundry? He's there, just watching.

It's the only place in the house he's so fanatical about, and I'm kind of all right with it. The only time I've felt something that felt like a threat was when I was in the bathroom, brushing my teeth. Husband was out in his workshop, just me and the animals. Something grabbed the door from the outside and yanked on it, and it rattled like it was locked. A few angry bangs on the door, my dog lost her mind, and the cat's refused to leave me alone there since.

We've seen and heard other things, but that's the general idea of it. He was a complete, absolute, and unconditional skeptic until we moved here -- and this is the third house we've lived in together. We've had the same cat in all three houses, too, and he's never done anything of the sort before. (New dog, so to her, I suppose this is all pretty normal.) Any thoughts or similar stories would be appreciated!

This happened when I was a freshman in high school in 2013. We went as a class on a service trip to Costa Rica (this was a very small independent school). We were lodged in pairs with host families in a very small village in the mountains. Me and my classmate went to sleep in our bunk beds for the night. In the middle of the night I wake up for no particular reason. I’m definitely fully awake and not dreaming, and I’m not experiencing sleep paralysis (I had experienced it once before and once later in college, this was not that). I don’t see anything, I’m just lying in bed, but I hear a voice whisper. The voice almost sounds like the wind if that makes sense, but there wasn’t any wind outside at all.

The voice whispers: “where are you?”. It holds the “are”. It whispers it again: “where arrrrrre you?”. It does a third time, and this time a similar voice responds: “right here”. This call and response repeats two more times before stopping.

I’ve only started thinking about this again recently. I’ve never bought into the paranormal and after this encounter I more or less brushed it off. If anything I’m looking for a non-paranormal explanation but unlike other weird stuff I’ve encountered I can’t really find one. Any thoughts? Did I overhear a ghastly and ethereal conversation?
