I heard knocking at my door & so did my sister.

Hi guys! Coming here to see if i find similar stories and or what it could be.

This morning around 3/4am I’m not entirely sure. I was woken up by knocks at my bedroom door, my parents room is right next door & it isn’t in their habit to knock they would usually just come or in my case, I can tell their knocks apart bc it’s a certain pattern.

I woke up to hearing 4 very clear knocks on my door and assumed that it was my dad so I turned around and fell back to sleep but i genuinely had a hard time falling back asleep. A while later when I wake up officially for work, I ask my sister hey did you hear that? She tells me yes she also heard but that she actually woke up and sat up in bed asking who it was to no answer so she eventually fell back asleep as well. So now I’ve confirmed I wasn’t the only one who heard it.

We go tell my mom as she is also awake and she tells us around that time she was awake using the restroom and she didnt hear anything at all. She even said maybe it could have been my dad, when using the shower banging his razor on the wall. But that sound is super distinct like I can tell the difference between that and knock.

Any ideas? Any similar experiences? This isn’t the first time it’s happened to me or I’ve been woken up like this. But it is the first time my sister also hears it. We are a religious family, we have rosary’s and crosses all over my home. I always wear a rosary as well and as well as a pendant of mother Mary. I wouldn’t know at this point! Help lol!

Coincidences or?

Okay just wanna say I I'm terrible at sharing things properly this is my best but this did actually happen and I would really like your thoughts on this.

some human thoughts on this would be nice particularly the second point about the Demon staring at me.

I think I saw a demon — twice. I can’t explain it.

I don’t really post stuff like this, but I need to hear what other people think.

Last year I was in a rough place, dealing with depression and anxiety. One night I took some Kalms (the herbal anxiety tablets) and also had been drinking alcohol. I went to bed and had what I can only describe as a terrifying dream — except it felt real.

In the dream, my friend knocked my door and barged in without asking the whole thing twisted into something else. I could feel a presence in the room — something dark. I’m sure it was a demon. It perched on top of my head and made this grotesque face at me. The lighting in the room and even the time of day seemed to shift while it was happening. I honestly thought I was losing my mind.

Now, the logical part of me knows mixing Kalms and alcohol can cause hallucinations or weird sleep experiences. But something about it didn’t sit right. It felt too real, too intelligent.

A few months later, it happened again — but this time I hadn’t taken anything. I just had a normal sleep, and when I woke up, something was there. I can’t even describe the shock of seeing it. Half-asleep, half-awake, I looked right at this thing that was staring back at me. It didn’t move, almost like it wanted me to see it. I watched it for maybe a full minute before I jumped up and tried to swat it away — and it disappeared instantly. The thing was really skinny its eyes were locked on me like a hawk and I have no idea how long it was there or if it was waiting for me to wake up. I just got an overwhelming sense that what I was looking at was evil and a demon.

I’ve thought about it ever since. I’m not afraid anymore, but that moment convinced me this world definitely has a creator — that Jesus and God are real, because something evil showed itself to me in such a way but maybe I'm just absolutely mental or could have been a hallucination again although It still doesnt feel that way to me thinking back still does give me some shivers of the possibility it was actually a demon.

I know what I saw, but I also know the human brain can do strange things. Still, it felt like more than a hallucination.

So… what do you all think I experienced? Has anyone else gone through something similar?

Is my life in danger?

I was in my room with the lights on. My roommates went to bed. I was still up. All of the sudden I felt deep dread. Like I was prey being stalked by something lurking in my room or down the hall in the dark. I assumed it was the latter. So I pretended to not be scared and not to notice it… 30 minutes or more went by, it was so scary feeling cornered like that. I kept trying to pretend “it” wasn’t there. Then I hear whispered loudly and clearly, in my ear, “I know you can hear me.” This means it knew I was trying to ignore it and pretend it wasn’t near me. I had no idea how close it was. Also, this was a new high rise nyc apartment building. I don’t think it was haunted.

The other time was fairly recent, a few months ago. I was feeling so down and dark and out about the job market. I was so sad, scared, and full of grief after losing my job and feeling like I have to start all over again. This feeling seemed to swell and I started to doom spiral. No hope for the future. I took a hit of weed with my gf and proceeded to watch a tv show.  All of the sudden I start to feel deep dread for my actual life. Thinking that for some reason I will k—l myself in about 2 weeks time, that I don’t have long left, and that I don’t have a choice in the matter even though I am not suicidal…
At this time, I feel what physically feels like gallons of my life force energy being sucked/pulled forcefully out through my chest toward the space in front of me (I was laying down). … this happened 4 times within 20 minutes approximately.  I could feel it pass/woosh through my flesh and out. I had a feeling that something was feeding on my energy and I want to know why and what it was.
I want to know if this spirit/entity/being is in my apartment or if it is following me?

What are these things?

Apologies about the lack of effort in my post, I’m tired.

So many thanks,
Ginger

what do i do?

I saw this on my bedroom window, it says help and it’s written from the inside of the house, my room is located on the second floor so it would hard for someone to get in, plus i checked my cameras and no sign of anyone breaking in. I do get sleep paralysis often and have feelings of someone shaking my bed when i’m about to sleep.

An encounter with someone who wasn't human.

Hello, and good evening folks (for it is the evening where I am writing this)!

I want to start this retelling of my experience off by stating that I am an indigenous woman and have always been a very spiritual person who believes in many things. There was also no alcohol, drugs, or any mind-altering substances present or used during this experience.

I have never retold this story online, but I want to tonight.

When I was about 14 years old (in 2014), I was staying the night with a couple of friends. If I recall correctly, this was on a Sunday and it was in the summer.

We lived in a populated city in NB, Canada, and the neighborhood we lived in was relatively quiet and "normal". There was not much woods around where this experience occurred, but there was a beach nearby and small wooded areas surrounding the beach.

Around 11 o'clock at night, one of my friends (female) and I decided that we wanted snacks and the two of us ventured out to the convenience store a couple blocks away (about a 5-7 minute walk) while the rest of our friends stayed home and waited for us to return.

My friend and I chit-chatted on our walk to the convenience store that we had visited many times before. When we arrived there, we went up the few steps and realized it was closed, so we stepped down and stood on the sidewalk for a second, trying to figure out where we could get our snacks from.

While we were standing there, an old, rickety car (maybe an old Toyota—I really don't know) with an odd-looking driver pulled onto the street in front of us. Come to think of it, I don't even know where this car came from. Maybe I just don't recall, or maybe this car and "man" came out of thin air.

The driver had his driver's window down and was alone in the vehicle. My friend and I stood there and looked at him for a moment as he drove by us slowly. He stared at us and we stared at him. He was a skinny, pale-faced "man" who looked like someone who was on drugs. I don't recall him having any hair, so he was bald.

Side-by-side, we watched his face as he continued to slowly drive his car further away from us, down the street. He didn't take his eyes off of us, and we didn't take ours off of him. Our conversation had halted as soon as this event started, and we just stood in silence, watching.

Even as he drove further away, he was still looking back at us—and he had a weird grin on his sunken face. The grin wasn't the horrifying part, though. The horrifying part was that his neck seemed to stretch out of the car window and wrap around to look behind him at us as he continued to drive off, slowly, while keeping his gaze fixated on us, as if we were prey.

At that moment, I didn't know what my friend was thinking, but something inside of me (or maybe outside of me) shoved me into the street and told me to RUN. I grabbed my friends arm and dragged her across the street with me as my gut filled with a horrific feeling and my adrenaline spiked. As soon as we booked it across the street, the driver halted his car to a stop, and screeched his tires as he quickly backed up to be in direct eyeline of our new position across the street. We were hiding in a bush, fumbling our cell phones, trying to dial 911. Something was not right and both of us were absolutely petrified.

The light on our phone screens was bright, and we heard the car door slam. He has gotten out of his car and was coming towards our position. We immediately darted from our "hiding" spot and ran as fast as we could through people's backyards. I lost one of my shoes during this sprint.

We banged on someone's door. An older lady answered and scolded us, shooing us away because of how late it was. She didn't seem to care that we were frantic and afraid and in danger—she was angry that she was disturbed. We weren't going to stand there on her steps and wait for this "man" to catch up to us, so I grabbed my friend and we booked it down the lady's steps and into another neighbor's yard, where their garage was open.

Inside the garage was a car. Don't ask me what that car looked like, because that was not what was on my mind.

My friend and I hid behind the car—between the car and the back of the garage—and we waited.

My friend was crying and whimpering and I covered her mouth and held her. I was petrified and shaking, but I was quiet because I knew I had to be, and I knew I had to make her be quiet. I had never had a feeling of being "prey" or being in the sights of being killed, but this was the one time in my life (and still is) that I had these feelings. I am grateful about how I reacted and how I was able to protect both myself, and my friend.

We stayed behind that car for a while. It felt like eternity. We didn't know when to leave. We crouched and stayed still and quiet. When time went by and we didn't hear anything, we dialled 911 and told them what happened.

When we got off the phone and thought the coast was clear, we snuck out of the garage, looked around to see if anyone or anything was near, and ran as fast as we could back to our friends house. We were winded when we arrived back and we were eager to get in. We banged on her door because she had locked it behind us and didn't think we would need an emergent entrance on our return.

The police searched the area and found nothing. They said they found no one that matched our description and no vehicles that matched our description, either.

The entire night, the two of us were shaken up.

We both cried hysterically when we were safe inside and able to decompress.

I couldn't sleep for weeks because I could not get that "man's" face out of my head.

Whenever I've told this story to someone, I get jittery and teary-eyed out of adrenaline and fear. It still haunts me to this day.

Years after that, in maybe 2021, or around that year, I dated a native man in my area and told him about the experience. He listened intently and when I finished, he coldly said to me, "You know what that was, right?". I told him, "No.".

He told me it was a skinwalker.

I had heard of the legends and the history of them, and I was baffled that the thought had never occurred to me. It *NEVER* occured to me.

When he told me that, I sank into my seat and felt shook in the knowing of what "that" was.

I am 26 now, and haven't had any experience like that since, nor have I seen anyone who resembles that "man". I also haven't spoken to the friend who was with me for years, but I do wonder if she still thinks about that night.

I feel lucky to have survived that and I truly believe that experience to have been my only "near-death experience".

There is a feeling you get when you know you're about to die or your life is being threatened, and that is what I felt that night.

I will most likely be cross-posting this.

Thank you for reading. I'd love to discuss this with some of you, and am open to answering any questions.

MAN GOES VIRAL BY DRAWING WHAT HE SAW AFTER DYING FOR A FEW SECONDS

A man named Yusuff Shakur was declared clinically dead for several minutes after suffering cardiac arrest, and upon regaining consciousness, he created a detailed drawing of what he claims to have seen during that near-death experience. The sketch depicts Earth at the base with human figures connected by silver threads that spiral upward through levels labeled "In Transit" and "Intermediate State," where souls react with expressions like "Boo No" and "Stop it," culminating in a large, supreme soul, or "Over Soul," at the top, with a central message that everything is connected.

Skeleton key.

Hi all. I have a warm and fuzzy, not spooky story to share. My fiancee passed away in an accident 15 years ago. Five or so years ago, I went to Lily Dale in New York for the first time. For those who don’t know, it’s a community of mediums and also has little shops and a forest etc. It’s a very beautiful and spiritual place. Before I left for Lily, I found a skeleton key to my closet door that I had been looking for all week. My toddler took it somewhere and I looked EVERYWHERE for days. I woke up and it was laying on my floor next to my bed. At Lily, they do group reads for free pretty often. I went to one and the medium started to describe what sounded like my fiancee. Another girl there claimed the read and I didn’t protest because it was clear she needed this message more than I did. A few things didn’t match up with her, but she was trying so hard to make it fit. Those things made sense to me, but I still kept quiet. At the end of the read he mentioned a skeleton key. This didn’t resonate with her, but I thought about the key I found that morning. Fast forward to this year. I went for the second time. I parked and immediately went into the woods. I was on a trail, but felt really pulled to walk off of the trail and go check out this tree that was lit up by the sun. I walked several feet off of the trail, 20 at least, and went over to this tree. I was admiring it when I noticed something hanging on the bark. It blended in with the bark and was the only thing on it. A heart shape skeleton key. I felt so validated that the read from before was indeed my fiancee.

Strange feeling surrounding the death of a celebrity I never knew personally.

I’ve been debating whether to post this because I really don’t want it to come across as parasocial but I’m genuinely curious if anyone else has felt something strange around a similar situation it’s about a celebrity who was killed in in 2020 (I don’t want to name drop yet)

I never met him just listened to his music casually prior to his passing since he was in th peak of his career and the day he passed I wasn’t phased but recently a documentary about him popped very long and detailed so I watched it and since then this lingering feeling never left.

What makes it especially weird is that I’m not unfamiliar with death or true crime I consume true crime and have seen plenty of disturbing things. I’ve experienced people I actually cared about passing and celebrities I genuinely liked dying in horrific circumstances and I’ve never felt this particular kind of heaviness.

There’s also a history of very strong intuition and spiritual sensitivity in the women in my family going back several generations. They have all been very intuitive so I’m not completely unfamiliar with these experiences. But I’m also trying to stay grounded and not automatically interpret every strong feeling as something supernatural.

I actually did a cleansing because the feeling was becoming uncomfortable and I do feel somewhat lighter afterward. Whether that was spiritual or simply the psychological effect of doing something that made me feel like I was releasing it I genuinely don’t know.

I’m not claiming to be sensing him, communicating with him or knowing anything about what happened beyond what’s publicly known. I just want to know if anyone else has felt this unusually strong sense of empathy heaviness or connection around this particular death especially people who had no personal attachment to him whatsoever. Thank you for very much in advance 🫶🏻

i did the ouija and i’ve started to see weird things

okay so before i start with the story i want to say i don't really think i'm seeing demons or that what i'm seeing its related to the ouija, but i still find it interesting how all of this started as right as i started doing the ouija.

i was 13 the first time i used it. i was with my friends at a sleepover, one of us bought one from amazon and we thought "yeah, why not?" the first time we used it we put our fingers on and asked the first question, but when it moved we got scared and took our fingers away. only after a few minutes we returned, put our fingers back and moved the planchette to goodbye. nothing weird happened after that.

later we tried again. it worked. the spirit gave us a real name, real places, he even told us our own names when we asked. and since then we never stopped.

at every sleepover we used the ouija, and every time it worked. sometimes more, sometimes less. it even happened that while doing it a lamp fell and another turned off.

now, i can’t talk abt every time we used it ofc, but there’s this thing i found very interesting.

once we were playing as always, talked to a spirit that told us he was one of my friends's protector. we asked if he was something like an angel, but he said no and that, actually, he was closer to a demon.
he told us that everyone of us had an entity that protected us, and made us talk to each one of them (including mine). they were all “demons”, except only one of my friend’s that was an angel, and it makes sense cause she was the only one that went to church regularly. we encountered them many others times, they were the only spirits we encountered more than once.

one day, they told us something that gave me chills: they told us that, without them, we would all be dead.

when we started high school, i argued with some of my friends, including the one with the ouija, so i stopped doing it. i did it again just a month ago, with the only two friends of the old group that i’m still in contact with, but with a piece of paper with letters on it. it still worked as good as with the real board.

now, after i've started using the ouija for the first time, i've been seeing moving black figures in my room, usually quick that last 2-3 secs, right when i'm bout to fall asleep. i would call them sleep paralysis but i am not paralyzed.

idk how to explain it, but you know when you're in bed, about to drift away, awake but moments away to go to sleep? okay, that's when it happens.
sometimes i can see clear black figures, other times just shadows. but even when they're just shadows i can still sense what they are (like, maybe i see just a shadow, but i can sense that shadow is a woman)
i'll tell quickly everything that i've seen: a spider moving in my bed, an animal going under my bed, a man at the window, a woman standing at the corner of my room, spiders crawling to my face (definitely worse one) and another man in my room.
they're not still, they move. sometimes small movements like turning their head and other times big (like the spiders falling quickly on me)
that comes with a big feeling of threat, like my body knows i’m in danger even before seeing the figures. i feel like if i don’t turn on the light right away i’m gonna die.

idk why that happens, i don’t really think its related to the ouija, since i’m a really skeptical person in general, but i still wanted to share it.

Ouija Board Experience

This event took place in Clearwater Florida in a condo complex around 1987. Myself and 6 other childhood friends were at a birthday party for our friend. I do not remember if she already had the board or if it was gifted to her that night. We all went to her room and started in. For the record I was not “new” to paranormal events at this young age. My grandmas house less than 5mi away made damn sure of that! This complex saw ppl die in it and one person had died not long before this event & had basically decomposed inside. Rotting smell, the wrx. Not the one we were in but about 50 yards away.

With the door and windows closed, candles lit we started in. Asking questions and waiting. I think four of us were sitting down, knees holding up the board so we all could place fingers on the planchette. As we asked questions nothing happened right away.

Questions like

  1. Is there anyone here
  2. if there is what’s your name
  3. how did you die

We noticed a candles flame near us would dance and move as if someone might be fanning it with their hand. I do not remember if it got cold in the room as many say a temp drop will occur when a spirit is present. But I do know that that damn planchette did start to move under my finger tip. You can tell when someone is steering or pulling it. Remember now - there are 7 ppl in this bedroom with the door closed and windows closed! Someone asked this entity to show yourself! Nothing happened. The request was made again for it to show itself! This is what happened : the board immediately flew upward toward the ceiling simultaneously blowing out ALL the candles! We ran outta that room so fkn fast ! I never went back in her room. I did talk with my friend about that nite later on and she told me that the planchette somehow disappeared. She never found it. I’ve never tampered with an Ouija board again before or since. I fully understand that that’s not the scariest story in the world it in that moment… sheeeeeiiiiiit!👀👀👀👀👀🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Is this an orb or ball lightning?

I was working in my local church when I noticed a bright light in my peripheral vision that appeared to float in through the main entrance and then disappeared behind the pews before it popped up and over towards me. It freaked me out to the point that I hid in the toilets in the vestry and when I came back out it was gone.
I decided that it was most likely ball lighting from a nearby thunderstorm but what do you all think?
I’ve already been derided for posting my only unexplained experience so I thought I’d post something more explainable lol

Do you also count dreams as signs of spirits/paranormal activity?

These dreams only happen from time to time in my dorm house, not ever that I remember the same kind of dreams at my parent’s house. Often times I’m hanging out with someone in my room in these dreams, it feels real yet surreal, like I got up to sit at my desk with them. One time when two friends slept over, I had a dream we were all sitting around my room awake, plus two others that seemed like my friends but don’t recall being anyone I know. I woke up after that dream in the middle of the night with my friends sleeping sound. I experienced other dreams like this, occurring in my room.

Do you guys get dreams like this? And do you perceive them as a sign?
