Got some help from here earlier last month. Was able to complete the project, with help from another friend in person while building it.

Mistakes:

  1. Incorrect vision on the widths led to wrong measurements, we needed the inner to be very wide. The side should have been around 6-8 inches total, it turned out almost 10-12 inches
  2. Incorrect settings on the drill always led to the screw/drill slipping. Learnt later that we should keep high setting for pre-drill, low setting when driving

New things learnt:

  1. How to use circular saw for the 2x4 cross cuts
  2. How to use jigsaw to make inner precision cut in a ply sheet (initial circular hole in 2 opposite corners and then jigsaw at right angles)
  3. Method to Pre-drill for 2x4 (i think it’s called pilot holes)
  4. Glue and then screw with use of clamps

Overall, framing looked solid, 2x4 was overkill, it turned out to be too heavy. Could be done with a 1x4 without it being wobbly

Thanks people for all the help.
